Daily Journal Honors Mira Hashmall on Top Labor & Employment Lawyer List

The July 18th edition of the Daily Journal honored Mira Hashmall on the 2018 list of Top Labor and Employment Lawyers.  Hashmall has extensive expertise in labor and employment litigation.  She represents public and private employers in connection with racial, sexual, age, and national origin harassment and discrimination claims, as well as lawsuits involving retaliation, wage and hour violations, and wrongful termination.  She is unique among employment defense attorneys because she has successfully litigated plaintiff-side employment cases, obtaining a recent $2.5 million jury award, as well as $1.5 million in attorney fees.  Hashmall is the head of the Firm’s appellate department and obtained a published appellate decision clarifying family medical leave rights under California law.

Mira Hashmall has a broad range of experience litigating complex civil matters.  She represents clients in all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling to appellate proceedings.  She has litigated corporate governance disputes, partnership dissolutions, complex business and entertainment contract actions, and professional negligence claims.

As quoted by the Daily Journal:

“I think taking plaintiff’s cases all the way through trial has made me a better defense lawyer…  Whether or not I was on the employee or employer side, I liked being able to help the working environment be healthy for as many people as possible while still being efficient and effective.”
