Christopher D. Beatty Joins Miller Barondess Partnership
The January 22, 2018 issue of the Daily Journal honored Christopher Beatty of Miller Barondess, LLP for joining the firm’s partnership. Chris joined Miller Barondess in 2014 and has been an integral part of the firm’s success. Chris has substantial trial and appellate litigation experience in both state and federal court. He has extensive complex business litigation experience, including work on matters involving entertainment, finance, antitrust, bankruptcy, trusts and estates, family, partnership, employment, and intellectual property issues.

Chris successfully protected Natrol Inc., a multinational nutraceutical company, from a takeover by a private equity lender. He also successfully represented the founder of an airline in a lawsuit against the company and its venture capital lenders. He currently represents Moshe Barkat, the owner of MVF Inc., a Hollywood post-production facility, in a lender liability suit against a hedge fund. Chris has also successfully represented California Bank & Trust and CoreLogic in finance-related matters and Universal Music Group in multiple matters as well. He represented Activision in high-profile lawsuits brought by the creators of Call of Duty seeking profits from and creative control of the franchise and a related competition lawsuit brought by Activision against Electronic Arts.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Michigan and he joined Miller Barondess after practicing at Irell & Manella, LLP.
